Scout Literary Media

Services

Each book and its publicity needs are unique. We look forward to working with you to determine exactly what the publicity needs of your book are. Scout Literary Media is prepared to implement a full publicity campaign for your book, follow-up with media contacts your publisher has already approached, write and distribute press releases to targeted media lists, write press releases for your personal use, and everything in between. Below, you will see a selection of just a few of the services we offer, but we are ready and able to do much more. Contact us today for more information.

  • Full Book Publicity Campaign

Four to six months before your book's publication, we will get galleys made and sent to publications with a longer lead time, such as Publisher's Weekly, Library Journal, and Booklist. Shortly before the book's publication, we will prepare a review copy letter and media list to send review copies to and a press release and press release media list.  Upon the book's publication, we will work with your publisher to send the review copies or send them directly from our office. At the same time, we will distribute your press release and handle all resulting media inquiries. Over a period of time determined by you (usually 3 to 12 months), we will write and distribute two to six different press releases. Other options include posting press releases on the wires, like PRNewswire and BusinessWire, and monitoring Profnet for additional media opportunities for you.

  • Writing Services

Scout Literary Media can handle any publicity writing needs you have from a press release to a galley letter to a press kit and much more.

  • Media Follow-up

Have you or your publishing company already sent out review copies or a press release and you do not have time to follow-up with the media contacts who received them? Scout Literary Media can take on that timely duty for you.
